18-Foot Robot For Sale. Low Mileage
What do you do if you build a giant robot and it doesn't work as well as it should? You sell it on E-bay, that's what, so you can build a better one next time. The 1 1/2 ton monster is a real "Mech", meaning you climb inside of it and move around. Well, sort of move around. Seems like walking was one of the harder features to implement. Wouldn't it be great if this process also worked in the software industry? Program didn't work like it should, so we'll sell it and make another. Wait -- maybe that's what they are already doing. Nice overview story on CNet here. Thank John Borland for digging this one up.
