Enterprise Software Sales Lagging

Several vendors reported lagging sales this quarter, according to Tom Taulli at the Motley Fool. Newcomers like Salesforce.com are partially being blamed (isn't everybody getting into CRM nowadays?) Here's an idea -- maybe sales are down because your product, marketing, and follow-through are suboptimal?

Now that Microsoft has decided to start competing with it's partners, things are tough all over. Some industriess, like the wine industry, have gotten so cut-throat that the bottles are considering making bottles that talk to you as you walk by. And miracle of miracles, Microsoft has even gotten around to fixing a tablet bug that's been driving us tablet users crazy for a year. (By contrast, let's see how long it takes Adobe to fix their latest *nix Acrobat flaw) It's almost enough for me to give Willie Nelson's new reggae album a try. Well, I said almost.
