Decisions, decisions
I turn 41 on Friday. (Woo hoo! Still alive another year!) but I have to pick my birthday present, and the choice ain't easy.
The choices are:
Dinner out with the wife Sushi, steaks, wine, maybe some dancing. Sounds like it could be a hoot.
Boating on the lake Sure it's still a little cold, but the outdoors, the sunshine! I love the water and the outdoors, even if it is a little early in the year.
Great Minds of Western Intellectual Tradition Lectures on CD We've got 84 lectures covering 42 hours. It's got it all: Plato, St. Augustine, Rousseau, Nietzsche. Who could turn down an introduction to 84 of the smartest people that ever lived?
Movie Marathon There's a lot of good movies out there, and I want to see them all. TW and I could take the whole day and just watch flicks.
Hiking and dinner A leisurely stroll through the Blue Ridge Mountains, a nice, quiet, steak dinner. Who could ask for more?
I'm not sure which one to do. I guess the geeky side of me really wants to learn about those great ideas throughout history. It's something that would change my life more than a piece of a dead cow and some aged smashed grapes. But who wants to order college lectures on their birthday? Since none of the options were strippers and having the Stones play in my backyard -- well, life is all about compromise, right?
I wonder how Keith is doing after that fall from the tree?
The wife says...anything but the CDs! Just not the CDs!!!!!!
I would choose dinner, wine & dancing. Of course, Doug and I go dancing every weekend. And who can pass up a nice glass of wine on your birthday? And your wife will love it :) An evening alone with her! What could be better :)
Happy Birthday and enjoy your day, whatever you do.
~Kelly
Thanks Melissa and Kelly!
Those geeks are calling to me, but I will do my best to try and fight them.
Melissa says anything but the CDs! I wonder if that means the option with the Stones is okay?
Hmmm... tough choice. I would go with hiking or boating... (by the way, TW sent me..)
Thanks Momanna98!
It's good to have all the visitors from TW's site!
