Astrophysicists at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology have captured footage of Pluto's moon, Charon, blotting out the light from a single star. While we're able to see things so far away, we still don't know what happened to this woodpecker -- is it extinct or not? It brings to question the entire concept of something being "extinct" -- how do you disprove a negative? I mean, I haven't seen any dinosaurs, and neither have anybody else, but next week we might find some in one of the hundreds of ancient antarctic lakes. Who knows for sure?
