Fancy Widgets

As a pilot, I love little widgets and do-dads. Being a computer/technology guy, I've got it twice as bad as most. When flying a complex airplane, for instance, a lot of times we look at a little instrument called a GEM, or Graphic Engine Monitor It's a cool little display of how hot the cylinder heads are on the engine, which is important information in keeping the engine running correctly. I like to think of the MAT as doing the same thing for your company.

The MAT shows where things are working and where they aren't. I can guarantee you that if things aren't working that well, people are going to be "running hot", whether you know it or not.
A SVP at a large corporation told me once that the MAT let him really talk to the guys on the ground, without all the middle management getting in the way. And that's enough to keep any engine running smoothly.
