Night Of The Living Parrots

For some reason, parrots seem to be in the news a lot lately. First there was word that parrots understand the concept of zero (He's not counting, he's pining for the fjords!) Now there's new word that parrots actually give each other names. What's next, parrots opening a 7-11 in your neighborhood?

Was there some big interest in parrots while I was sleeping? Certainly dogs also understand zero -- they're just not as cute as parrots. And that's what this is all about, isn't it? Pictures of cute birds on the front of web pages. Can you guess, right off hand, how many studies about counting warthogs there are? I can tell you, none, that's how many.
And for those of you who understood the joke above, hit your partner with a fish and call me in the morning.
