Spice Up (and Perhaps Cure Cancer?)

A couple related stories over the last couple of days. One -- looks like molecules found in pineapple juice may kill cancer cells. The second story is that chemicals found in curry and tumeric may help kill cancer cells as well.
All this time we were looking in the rain forests for new drugs. Wouldn't it be ironic if the next big breakthough came out of the kitchen cupboard?
